About the Food

+ Where does All The Good Stuff come from?

We partner with a variety of local vendors across the state of Colorado.

+ Where does the produce come from? Is it organic?

We source our produce from farmers we TRUST that are either USDA Certified Organic or utilize organic and ethical growing practices but may not be certified. Our primary farm vendor is Austin Family Farms out of Paonia, CO. We also work with small family farms and always strive to source our produce from within 200 miles of Eagle County.

+ Where does the meat come from?

We believe that the closer you are to your food source, the fresher and more eco-friendly it will be. We work with Pasture Provisions to source 100% Colorado-raised grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, and pasture-raised pork.

Grass-Fed Beef from Parker Pastures (Gunnison)

Free-Range Chicken - Amish Acres (Westcliffe)

Pasture-Raised Pork - SkyPilot Farm (Longmont)

+ What is ethically-raised meat?

From Pasture Provisions - “Our philosophy at Pasture Provisions is "You Are What You (M)eat", which is the belief that we should only be eating animals and vegetables that are fed their natural food sources and never given GMO feed, growth hormones, pesticides, or other nasty stuff. We also believe if you eat meat it should be ethically raised.”

+ Will the meat/seafood arrive fresh or frozen?

All of our meat and seafood is frozen, the same way our producers store their protein and deliver it to us. Flash-freezing ensures it maintains its farm-fresh quality and texture while preserving the nutrients created by the animal’s natural diet.

+ Do you sell raw milk?

No, we don’t. It is currently illegal to sell raw milk outside of farm locations in the state of Colorado.

+ Where is the produce sourced from? Is it organic?

We source our produce within a 200 mile radius from local Colorado farmers that we TRUST, including Austin Family Farms (Paonia) and Bluebird Farms (Palisade).

Since 2017 our primary farm vendor has been Austin Family Farms. We chose them because of their transparent, honest, organic, sustainable growing practices.

Austin Family Farm operates as a “non-certified organic” farm, which means that everything used in the growing process is on the approved list for organics,

Soil health, sustainability, and environmental ethics are the foundation of Austin Family Farm. To learn more about Austin Family Farms, click here.

+ Can I customize my CSA box?

The contents of our CSA box depend on what fruits and vegetables are ripe that week, so you cannot choose what goes into your individual box. You’ll find that fresh, locally-grown veggies taste dramatically superior to their supermarket counterparts. We hope this will encourage you to try new vegetables. You may even discover that a vegetable you thought you didn’t like tastes completely different when it comes straight from the farm!

If you have any food allergies, dietary preferences, or requests you can let us know in your order notes and we will do our best to accomodate.
